AVS at Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2019 for Puma, Volini Maxx & Tata Motors

Listed as a Gold Label Road Race by the IAAF and AIMS-certified course, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon has a recognized reputation of hosting marathons. In 2019, the 15th Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (ADHM 2019) took place with various partners. 

For the 5th year in a row, AVS India was the part of ADHM 2019 and was stoked to serve three brands with immense ease. 

With Puma being the Ignited by Partner, Tata Motors (Harrier Dark Edition) holding Driven by Partner, and Volini Maxx being the Recovery Partner

From activating and engaging the runners at Puma Hybrid Warm-up Zone to motivating them at Tata Motors Harrier Dark Edition Cheer Zone at Rajpath, and helping them Recover at Volini Maxx Recovery Zone, not the least, easing the runners at Cool Off Zones. 

 Tata Motors gave them memories of their achievement in the form of pictures with their timings and while Puma gave various gifts at the Hybrid Rebound Challenge, along with giving sliding comfort of the Hybrid Zone. During the BIB Collections, the participants of ADHM also enjoyed various challenges like Volini Maxx’s Instant Climbing Wall Challenge, and Tata Motors' Interactive cycling challenge, which was installed with LED lights to Unleash the Dark

 While ADHM'19 was a 4-day event (3-day BIB Collection and 1 Race Day) organized for the runners, it took us over 15 days of planning, ideating, and execution; to render great experiences of technology, design, and culture for the brands.

We are extremely proud of the fact that despite such heavy footfall and simultaneously serving three brands, everything was executed with immense ease. With grueling preparations pulled through sleepless nights, we didn’t falter even by a whisker.

WHAT EXACTLY AVS INDIA DID?

To engage all the participants who came to collect their BIB's and encourage them on the day of the marathon, AVS curated and executed all the activities for the brands. 

At the 3-day expo, 'Get Active Expo', AVS curated various attractions for all the runners that came to collect their respective BIB's. Some of the attractions were for:

a. Volini Maxx - Climbing Wall Challenge

Runners were encouraged to take Climbing Wall Challenge and were gratified with free Volini merchandise on their completion in 30 seconds. Over 1800+ participants took this challenge with 300+ gratified. 

b. Tata Motors - Interactive cycling and Selfie Booth

Harrier Dark Edition promoted selfie opportunities and motivated the runners to participate in the Interactive cycling installation. The challenge was to light-up all the characters of UNLEASH THE DARK within 60 seconds. On completion, winners were gratified with a scaled model of Tata Harrier. 

Over 1200+ participants took this challenge with 100+ gratified.

On Main Event Day, different zones attracted, engaged, and motivated all the runners. 

Puma Hybrid Warm-Up Zone: Ayesha Billimoria along with Puma trainers captivated over 15000+ runners. Furthermore, Anchor Clince Varghese, with the fastest woman alive Carmelita Jeter, shared insightful tips and motivated the runners.

Tata Motors Motivational Zone: Our Punjabi Dhol Group cheered and engaged over 18000+ runners at Rajpath

Volini Maxx Recovery Zone: Dr. Rizwan Khan, along with its team of 150+ physios recovered over 19800+ runners instantly and in meanwhile, Anchor Clince Varghese with Carmelita Jeter delighted the runners, after the marathon. 

Puma Hybrid Rebound Zone: A special cool-off zone 'Hybrid Rebound Zone' was installedwhere over 3000+ runners experienced the rebound effect of the New Hybrid Collection. And 30+ winners of the Rebound challenge were granted with Puma merchandise. 

Tata Motors Cool Off Zone: Another cool-off zone, where over 3000 runners took away their memories of achievement with their timings and by clicking photographs. 

Even though it was our fifth year in a row at the ADHM 2019, there’s always a sense of bewilderment. We were serving giants like Puma, Tata Motors, and Volini Maxx (Sun Pharma), and these brands have long been avowed for their credibility. When you serve brands of international repute, there’s always an uncanny pressure, despite making the best preparations possible we had our apprehensions.

It was only after the event was concluded we realized how smoothly we pulled it off, the energy, and the zeal exhibited by people was a testimony to it.

We at AVS have constantly explored new horizons within and outside the realm of our work. Having worked with brands from diverse segments, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon also tested our tenacity. But we are glad that we were able to respect the faith that was reposed in us by our partners.
